i was told by a diabetic nurse it was ok to drink in moderation on metaformin as long as you ate something after so your bs doesnt drop to low later

yes maybe a few ciders or beers no spirits lol

i have only just started taking gliclazide and being christmas time i would like to have a few drinks christmas day i see on the tablet sheet it says not to drink, so what i wanted to know is this 100 percent you cant drink or is it ok to drink in moderation say 1 - 2

around 8 from wake but it doesnt seem to really going lower than 7, where as usually i would go down to around 5 around 2 hours after eating or less, and im on 500 3 times a day

The last few days my blood sugar levels seem to be higher than normal I have not changed eating habits or excerise levels is it possible the Metaformin isn't working as well and does it being a different manufacturer than usual make any difference Sent from the Diabetes Forum App
