Oh another anecdotal thing, I used to get meal ‘sweats’ I which put down to menopause .. they’ve gone. I feel normal there too!
Whatever the reason is, I’m happy and glad I went on Lantus
My sugars now range between 6-10 but had started creeping up to 16. I had been using novorapid with Victoza but I asked if I could try a long lasting insulin when Victoza went out of stock.
I take 10 units of Lantus and a small amount of novorapid
And, ping I felt better straightaway. My doctor...
Hi I work nights so have my Lantus around 4pm ,even on my days off. I’ve not noticed any hypos yet, but is 4pm ok to take it on my days off, as I was told to take at same time daily.
Hi am I weird here as I take 10-12 units of Lantus and max novorapid before meals is 3-4 units??
I was diagnosed as type 2 with initial sugars of 24mmol and hba1c of over 10%.
CTablets did nothing but insulin has given my body its energy back ?
Does that mean I didn’t have insulin resistance...
I had same problem and have just been out on Lantus to use along with novarapid.
I was able to get my test strips increased to 100 a month, so can’t figure why they’ve lowered it if your using insulin?
I use about 12 units of novarapid a day and will be on 10 of Lantus
Hi I’ve had the same problem. I was using Victoza and Novarapid which worked great together. Now no Victoza available until mid 24, so after a few panicky calls to the doctors as my BMs were hitting 16 mmol, they’ve given me Lantus today.
My doctors said they have had lots of people with the...
Hi I’ve been on Victoza for over 5 years with novarapid before meals. Out of stock everywhere for me and I’ve asked if I can have a background insulin instead.
Still waiting and the weight loss kinda just maintained itself but kept my blood sugars ok.
Now I’m just on novarapid , I’m needing to...
I work on an acute psychiatric ward in he NHS and I have no idea what their plans are regarding Coronavirus, we just keep getting told there will be info soon. I’m 51 and my immune system is rubbish, even the flu jab makes me ill
I agree, my practice nurse suggested no meds and no testing for 3 months!! DSN instead started me on novorapid which is brill and now I’m used to mealtime injections and no tummy problems for first time in years.
Saw my DSN today who was pleasantly surprised that I was doing well with novorapid with no hypos and has asked if she can mention me to the consultants as she wonders if I have a genetic form of diabetes not type 2. Apparently I’m the only patient she’s tried using just novorapid on and was...
