How do I stop this bender!

I'm trying. It just all goes south by lunchtime! :( I stopped testing a while back because I was getting along really well. Tomorrow I'm going to start again. I guess that'll help. I have the willpower of a dead frog!

How do I stop this bender!

I got sick with noro just before Christmas. I didn't eat anything much at all for a few days and ever since I've been on a total self destructive sugar binge! I know it's stupid, I'm headachey and my sleep is all over the place, but I just can't stop. I start the day with the best intentions...

Type 2 Ill and need bg help...

We've all got the vomiting bug. :( When it hit (thursday night) my bg dropped to 4.9. All I ate yesterday was 2 Welsh cakes in the morning and some pringles in the evening. **** choices I know but I couldn't stomach anything else. Anyway. The last thing I ate was last evening, and my BG is at...

    Diet pepsi

I've never tested my sugars while drinking Pepsi, but my hba1c has dropped so I don't think it can have much effect. For me it's more the cravings it causes which are an issue.

    Type 2 Mild dizzy spells

I get them. It's postural hypotension for me. I've always had slightly low bp in general and it just seems to misbehave now and again. I'm not sure if it helps but I try and up my salt intake slightly when it's bad.

    Diet pepsi

I'm a coke addict, ;) and diet Pepsi is my favourite. I have had to switch to diet Coke though, because Pepsi makes me crave sugar, and more Pepsi, terribly! I start off with a single can here and there and work my way up to several small bottles a day. I get to the point where my joints hurt...

    Migraines! :(

I am going to. I was just wondering if there's any definite link with diabetes or low carbing. The people on here seem to know way more about it than anyone at my surgery! :-D

    Migraines! :(

I've been low caring for a few months now and it's going great. I've dropped a tonne of weight, my cholesterol is down, bp is fab, kidneys are fine, and my hba1c is 37. But, I've started getting migraines! I've had them very intermittently over the last 20 years or so but. It's been about 4...

Does having a hobby make you feel better

I bought a kayak. Not only does the exercise help my blood sugar, it helps me get fit, I get away from the teenagers AND I get to enjoy nature! It's win win win all round! :)

    Confused

I downloaded an app that converts between the two. I bought a monitor that reads American. Should have read the small print! :-D

feeling like a pin cushion - but MUCH better...

I can't agree with this more. I had GD in my last pg and was given dubious advice regarding eating carbs. I had a monitor, but the results were always high. It didn't go well but on the birth of my daughter I went back to "normal". Recently I was told I was t2d. All the info I was given was...

    SD Codefree giving high readings?

I recently bought this monitor to replace a Freestyle Optimum Neo I was given when pregnant (about 2 years ago) with GD but can't afford to run. I've been getting really pleasing readings from the freestyle, (between 4.9 and 6.2) but since I started using the SD I've been 6+. I've just done a...
