Hi! Diagnosed at the age of 24! [emoji19] I struggled in the beginning thinking I can't eat this and I can't eat that. The truth is, you can eat what you wants when you want just in moderation. For example. A roast dinner with roast potatoes and mashed potato. I now have 1 or 2 roasties and a...
I've download the "carbs and caps" app on my phone. Very recommended- it's so easy to use and works it all out for you. It's a cost of £5 but it's proved invaluable for me.
Hi all,
I was diagnosed recently as type 1 diabetic. My sugars have been very high but are coming down nicely down. Currently running at 10.5-13.5
Over the past couple of days my vision has gone blurry. I'll be fine one second and the next it's just a blur? Should I be worried? TIA x
Sugars are coming down finally! I got a 10.5 reading last night and a 14.1 reading this morning! Cut down on the carbs and it seems to be working [emoji38]
Yes I feel so much better! The thirst isn't as bad and I don't feel tired all of the time now. Also no wetting the bed!! Just a quick afternoon snooze and I'm fine again.

Hi everyone. So I've increased insulin today by 2 units. Still seeing the same levels though. Will increase again in 3-4 days and keep going until I see results. Will keep an eye out for ketones though. The thirst has been more manageable today thank goodness!

I'll give my nurse a call in the morning and ask for some advice.
Should my basil insulin be the same as my novorapid?

Thanks everyone! Ketones we're at +++ but just tested and they are +
Just tested sugars and I'm at 25.1.
I really hate hospitals but will keep an eye out for symptoms and go if necessary.
