I managed to get strips easy enough! Found I had an infection in my arm from the Libre that’s why it had been hurting so bad. Had to take it out as soon as I could as I couldn’t stand the pain! Maybe it started to come out and got infected and maybe why I was getting inaccurate readings. Thanks...
I am on holiday and before I went away my Libre sensor and monitor had been working fine. Soon as I tested when I was abroad and it keeps telling me I’m LO all the time when I scan when I’m not. I took a few strips and my finger prick just in case so can see that my sensor is showing wrong.

I’ve been type 1 for 2 years and mentally I’m struggling to cope with my diabetes. I’ve recently been diagnosed with depression and anxiety and I’m currently on tablets to help with this. It’s still not helping me really, I never want to do my injections and just physically cannot bring myself...
This is my first journey away with type 1 diabetes on Monday where I will be travelling on a plane. I am travelling with monarch and I have got a doctors note etc to allow me extra weight with my luggage. However, I have heard that you are also allowed an extra bag to carry your medication in...
I take 4 units of levemir at morning and before bed. For a number of days now I have been waking up with a bg level of over 10 even though before bedtime I have been 4/5. Last night however I was 13 before bed so I took my levemir and 2 corrective units of my novorapid but still woke up with a...
I'm a type 1 and someone said to me "at least it's not type 2, that's the serious one you can lose a limb with type 2." Lol!! I also get comments made about how I shouldn't be eating this and shouldn't be eating that, what diet am I following etc. It makes me laugh how people have no idea on...
I do get redness when my hands and feet are cold but it does come and go. I've got an appointment with my diabetic doctor next month so will definitely mention it to them then! Thanks
I have suffered with extremely cold feet for as long as I can remember and my feet feel like ice right at this very moment! (Reason for typing this lol) Is this normal or should I worry about having cold feet all the time?? Even with socks/slippers on my feet never feel warm afterwards!!
Most of the time I do inject and have a bigger snack but when I'm out and about I just can't be bothered to inject and bother with all the faffing so was just curious!
Yeah I think I may try it one day when I've got some spare time to play about, knowing me I would over do it and eat too much...
My ratio for units of insulin to carbs is 1:10g. My dietician said that I can have snacks that are 10g of carbs or less that I don't have to inject for.
I'm curious as to how long do I have to wait in between snacks for it to not affect my BG?
Say if I had something that was 10g of carbs how...
Hi I'm 19 years of age and was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes late January. I was extremely unwell so I am glad to have found out what was bringing me down and hopefully have everything under control.
