Well done on turning it around! It’s not an easy thing to do.
Giving birth is always a scary thought, there are so many horror stories but if you think about how many babies are born every day without complications it can make things seem better.
No point worrying about that until the day...
Thanks @himtoo
@Styles23 feeling nervous and anxious is a natural part of pregnancy whether your diabetic or not.
It sounds as though you’re doing everything right so far and your diabetes team will be able to tell you more at your appointment.
Is there anything in particular you’re worried...
Exactly. I should have finished at 21:45 last night but was home by 21:00 because a lot of people I went to see didn’t want me there and said I should go!
I rang it in every single time it happened and told them the reason why they didn’t want anything.
I’m certain people think a bit of sugar will sort us all out! I tried to explain to her about why it was an issue and how lucozade wouldn’t have helped me but could tell that she wasn’t really listening.
My job is the kind where if I came off my shift they would have to get somebody to cover...
Thank you.
Apparently that’s what the diabetic in the office does, obviously when she’s hypo, not when she’s high!
I don’t work in the office and am out and about in my car for most of my shift so thankfully I don’t have to see them [emoji23]
Tried to ring in sick for work today.
I’m full of a cold and have had bgs of around 19 since yesterday.
Works reply... “can’t you just have some lucozade and come in? That’s what we’d suggest”
[emoji19] better get my uniform on.
Thanks @himtoo
This happens to me too. When I’ve put a new one in the first couple of boluses sting but are fine after that. What I do is extend the first bolus over 15 mins and it seems to be okay after that.
I’ve no idea why it happens though!
It can happen. I sometimes get what you described from my pump sites.
I know there are barrier creams and sprays that you can use to stop this from happening so I wouldn’t let that put you off a pump before you’ve tried it.
Speak to your GP or diabetes team and they may be able to prescribe...
