A lot of folk are now going through pharmacies where apparently the lead time is still measured in days. Both boots and Asda have said they can supply at about the same price that Abbott charge. Not tried it yet myself though
For me getting my basal right was the key to sorting things out.
Have you tried basal testing? If you Google Salford NHS basal BV test there's a good description of it.

Just started on bisoprolol a beta blocker for high BP. Noticed my BG is running lower than I'd expect today. Anyone have experience of this drug and its effects on BG please?
I only took it for two days. Side effects were awful cramps caused by it losing blood sodium and interacting with another drug I take. Hopefully it's replant will have less dramatic effects!
From what I've read the are a couple of CCG s approving prescriptions but most are waiting for more guidance and possibly April and the new financial year. Still waiting for an answer from mine

I think it's just tough sometimes. Even good BG days I sometimes think, this is like painting the Forth bridge - tomorrow you start again from scratch.

I buy from piping rock. I take at breakfast with both basal and bolus insulins. Didn't seem to have affected my insulin needs but I find these fluctuate slightly anyhow. Had made a big difference to the neuropathy though.
