    Scared of dying

You are all amazing! I'm still struggling through. Thank you for all your advice and support. I seriously don't know what I would do without this forum. I have good days and bad days. Still feeling very unmotivated and waiting to see the psychologist STILL. When I'm around my husband and I'm...

    Scared of dying

Thanks everyone those are really kind words. Thanks for taking the time to write something. I am struggling to find a hobby or something that interests me. I have a real lack of motivation and really can't be bothered to try something new. Classic me being lazy when something get's hard. I am...

    Scared of dying

So this is going to be hard to write. I have generally always suffered with depression and fought it off for many years on and off. Since being diagnosed with type 1 it has been a lot harder to deal with my emotions. I'm having more and more dark and irrational thoughts and not quite sure what...

We are going to try for a baby at the end of the year but my husband is concerned if I'm pregnant and then finish...

    Newly Diagnosed

Almost 2 months into my diagnosis! I have gone to Naples for a few days and had no problems with travelling and it was lovely and relaxing. So that's nice to not have to worry about now. I'm finding it easier to handle my emotions and now I'm only going to the hospital every 3 months it's a bit...

    Newly Diagnosed

Thanks that makes me feel better about it :) I had my first flu jab on Saturday morning. They said you could have some 'mild' reactions to it. But Saturday night I had full on flu symptoms. Aching, fever, loss of appetite, shivering/shaking. Been like it for a few days now. In my opinion that is...

    Newly Diagnosed

Sorry forgot to mention, I'm type 1. So yes nothing I could have done differently. The nurse said I'm currently still making some of my own insulin but it will change within the next year. She started me off with Levemir and Novorapid. Small doses at the moment. Levemir x 5 twice a day. And just...

    Newly Diagnosed

Hello everyone. I got diagnosed on the 28th August 2018 at the age of 30. Now just turned 31! I was having symptoms for a few weeks and luckily my husband suggested I went for a blood test. I’m thankful to him as he was helping the NHS design an app for children with type 1 diabetes and...

    False hypo symptoms

Hello there, newly diagnosed in the last few weeks. I have been getting symptoms of hypos when I have been in the mid 4's to mid 5's. Cold sweats and shaking etc. I'm assuming this is because I'm first starting out and my body isn't used to being this low so fast? I had my first proper hypo...
