    Type 2, Reducing Medication

Hey Ickihun, Don't give up, T1D/T2D is a personal issue, disease, and it affects everyone differently. I can manage my condition, because if the way my head works, Freud wouldn't line what I do, but it works for me. Good luck. Cookie.

    Type 2, Reducing Medication

Hi Mark, Thanks for the comment. And don't give up. What works for me won't work for you, but I'm also not lucky, I've just found a way to manage things that works for me. Hope you find a way too. Cheers, Cookie

    Diabetes Reversal

I've managed, since February 2016 to go from a high BG of 20+ down to a regular 4.5-7MMOL, depending on fasting/eating. My GP is astounded by my HBA1C results (30) and is more than happy to reduce my Metformin from 2000Mg a day to 1000Mg a day, with a view to further reductions in 4-6 months...

    Prescription exemption

Hi The point I was making was that it's not openly suggested at the point of diagnosis, certainly was not mentioned by anyone to me in my PCT, GP or otherwise. Cost of changing diet and test Metres, strips etc.. was a bit of a shock, so all the newly diagnosed people that don't know, because...

    Prescription exemption

Hi All, I was diagnosed T2 in February 2016, and luckily have come through the Metformin side effects (blurred vision etc) and am now stable routinely having BG between 5.2 and 6.4 regardless of my testing times. It wasn't obvious to me to start with that because my diabetes management was...

Blurred vision since I've changed my diet and on Metformin

Hi I was diagnosed Type 2 a month ago, and had this exact problem, it was quite scary as I also had double vision, and it actually affected my balance too. In the last couple of days my eyes seam to have gotten back to normal, and its coinsided with seeing a rapid drop in my BG readings, I'm...
