    Square bolus 640g

Yeah that sounds like the reason. The funny thing is the wizard WILL let you do an instant bolus if you put a low bg in (eg 3.5) when you would think it would force a square wave.....

    Square bolus 640g

It may depend on whether you were using your bolus wizard and if you entered your bg as well as carbs. If the wizard adds a correction dose on account of your (elevated) bg it will only let you dual wave as it wants to give the correction as a normal bolus. To solve this you can enter it as a...

    Libre Sensor

I have bled twice out of 9 sensors, but only minor (one only noticed when removing sensor) The bleed did not seem to affect the accuracy. Nearly all my sensors read low for 24 hours, so I tend to put one on when I have a day left on my current one. I activate it with the reader, but I don't...

    Levemir split dose basal testing

I wouldn't think so. The first test result is just to see where you are at the start. If you are low at the second test its likely caused by the bolus, but if you have a hypo you have to treat it and abandon your basal test anyway. Use your second result as your baseline, if your basal is...

    Levemir split dose basal testing

If you always bolus 2u and always inject levermir at the same time, then test at 9am and every 2hr til your evening basal. And don't consume any carbs while testing. You will still be doing the 2u bolus normally so your basal dose needs to account for this (if it didnt you would hypo).

pumpers !!! what is your target BG setting ??

5.5 ± 0.5 for me. A1c 52-54 consultant prefers it at 55, i prefer 48-50 but keep getting told they worry about hypo awareness (needlessly) and driving, so I had to increase target from 5.2 ± 0.2 to keep docs happyh

Incidentally, the penalty charge notice now includes the following: 'C: If you have one of the medical conditions listed on page 3, but did not know that you needed a valid medical exemption certificate to be eligible for free prescriptions:' It goes on to say you have to apply for the...

    Type 1: Prescription fine

Yay! Just got my fine notification. Seems I'm a bit late to the game. Have appealed on grounds of ignorance and not being advised (wish I had found this thread earlier) Interestingly found this quote on www.nhs.uk: "People with diabetes controlled by medication are entitled to free...
