    Does coconut oil actually work?

Hello everyone, Whilst looking for a hair treatment I came across coconut oil. I did some reading up on it and found people saying it helps with blood sugar control. I am very sceptical, has anyone tried it? and does it actually work?

    I feel different

The only thing that has changed recently is I stopped smoking a month ago then all this started. I changed injection sites to see if that would make a difference. Hopefully will be able to get it sorted out soon Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

    I feel different

Yeah it's really weird isn't it. My sugars have been really high over the last fews weeks and i'm taking a lot more insulin that would usually make me pretty low but its doing nothing. Got the clinic on monday so hopefully they'll be able to help.

    Best things to snack on?

I want to eat a bit healthier. I just snack on things that are handy and generally bad for you. I want to find snacks that won't affect my sugars much and will keep me fuller for longer. I inject novorapid and levemir.

    Diabetes and shift work

Hello everyone :) Does anyone do shift work? I am type 1 and work 12 hour shifts as a carer and am struggling to control my blood sugars on a long shift. How do you cope? What do you find best to eat to keep them stable?
