Interesting topic because I've noticed over the years how different meters give somewhat different results. As an example my main meter is an Accucheck Mobile but I also have an SD Codefree as a backup and because my prescription for the Accucheck strips would not be sufficient for my needs. I...
I also used to have very high readings in the morning compared to my 'normal' daily readings. It always used to annoy me intensely when I was doing the overnight fasting test. I would have a meal at 6 pm, test at 11 when I went to bed and had a normal 5.6. Next morning prior to my blood test I...
Sorry if this has been answered but I've only just read this thread.
I have the book Carbs & Cals by Chris Cheyette. Under the breakfast items it shows 1 Oat Biscuit, (i.e. Oatabix) as being 13g of carbs and 75 calories. You have to add a 100g of semi-skinned milk and thats showing as an...

I just wonder how many people realise this...

I'm a bit confused so any advice would be appreciated. I'm a 67 year old male type 2 diabetic who was diagnosed about 20 years ago. I've gone through the normal range of diet, then oral medication, and then finaly two years ago onto Lantus each day with NovoRapid should I experience any high...
Not a silly question because obviously it is. However I'm just wondering if anybody has the same problem that I seem to have.
Generally speaking my blood sugar levels are pretty good. Although I'm a Type 2 who has now progressed after about 12 years to having to take Lantus and occasionally...
