Tinnitus from diabetes, peripheral neuropathy or duloxetine/cymbalta?

I’m going to go against what everyone else has said as Duloxetine likely caused my tinnitus. It’s clear from the frequency at the ENT clinic that it wasn’t noise exposure and the tinnitus started after I was on Duloxetine for fibromyalgia. I use Headspace and Audible to get to sleep at night but...

    Vegetarian/Vegan Low Carb Recipe Index

Sorry if the information is stated somewhere else but are the carb values posted somewhere? It's just that I carb count (type 1 vegetarian on a pump - I'm super awkward) and it's difficult to guess when I've never eaten half of the things before. Haha :D

    Type 1 and PCOS

I have Type 1 and PCOS. Developed it when I was 19 ish after being on the depo injection. It's horrible as I have a hard time mentally on contraception but can't deal with all the acne, etc when I'm not on Yasmin or something for it. I did, however, get pregnant the first month I came off of...

Mine is Aleatoric. You can just say hi and introduce yourself, people are very kind there. You don't have to discuss your mental health but can if you want to. Maybe see how comfortable you feel. :) xx

    A whole night of Hypo's

Illness sometimes dips my levels, a couple of weeks ago I was struggling to keep them up when I had the cold. Yet with other illnesses, it's been a horror to keep them down. Just don't exercise with BG over 13mmol, it bumps your sugar up rather than lower it. Hope you're feeling better soon...

    Insulin pump

Re: Insulin pump Hi Jo, I've also been diabetic 19 years and I love my pump. The pump and DAFNE are the best things I've done for myself with regard to my diabetes I think. I started on mine in February this year. I was really scared of having something in me all the time because I'm a bit...

Are you hitting the 3 main diabetes targets?

I'm not sure on my HbA1c as I haven't had it done since I started on the pump back in February so I put 2 out of 3. My blood pressure is always around 120/70 and sometimes lower. When I was pregnant, it was really low all the time. Cholesterol never seems to be bad except when I started...

    Trop50 juice sweetened with stevia

I found this stuff way too sweet for me. I've tried the orange, orange and mango and the apple. :( I was hopeful with it to begin with and thought it may just be that I hadn't found the right flavour but it's teeth curlingly sweet in all of them. :eh:

Not sure what to do with my needles!!

When I was under Falkirk District, I got sharps bins from the doctor themselves. In Ashfield District, I got them on prescription and the council picked them up when I was done with them which I always forgot so had about 8 piled up at once, they didn't like collecting 8 at once for some...

    Have you named your pump?

Mine is called Hector... I've no reason, I just like it. :D

    What's the highest you've been?

My highest is now 31.2. :( Stupid cannulas are bending for my new pump and I've had ketones 3 times. Nasty things!

    How Times Change!!

Oh my, that is a blast from the past. You had to put loads of blood on then wipe it off before putting it in the meter if I remember correctly? And you could check the colours against the ones on the testing strip box to see if it lined up. I still call them BM sticks too, Sueycl. :P

    Vegetarian diet

Hello :) I'm vegetarian and have been since I was diagnosed at 12 - throwing up meat for weeks put me off eating it - but don't low carb. I'm type 1 and on a pump, however, so it's a bit easier for me to bolus for my carbs than if you're type 2. I try to eat low GI carbs like wholemeal bread...

    Insulin Pump Holders

Thanks again for all the information. I didn't know I'd get tubigrip on prescription. That sounds really convenient as I could just strap it on... so to speak. I wear a lone worker device around my neck at work and it annoys me so I'm not sure if I'd like the neck ones but I could knit that...
