What are you doing now and humorous banter.

All jokes & humour aside, it really is a minefield out there for those genuinely looking for companionship. There are some really dodgy individuals of both sexes, on the hunt for victims. Sometime after my wife died, I started using online dating sites. I didn't want a heavy relationship at...

I suppose there must be a sizeable minority of people who do actually fall for it. Otherwise, they wouldn't keep the scam going, would they?

Richie? Maybe he's one of the Indian lads who ring you up pretending to be from Microsoft, because you have "trouble with your computer...".

There's a well-known Tommy Cooper one: "A friend in need is a pest. Get rid of him"

    Milk!

For the last few days, we've had my daughter and son in law visiting us down here in lovely Devon ("alroight moi loverrr...?") :). Being a newly minted and recent Type 2 at age 61, I was querying my son-in-law about various diabetes related things, because although he's just 31, he's been a...

Hello nice lady. I move into your area and I see you and wonder if you like to go on nice date with me? I am Fazurkabal and I am car mechanic and hairdresser from Bozrovia. I move Engerland and I love the many nice ladies I see here. Maybe we go on date? You marry me and I get visa to stay...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

I've always fancied trying a clootie dumpling. A guy from Kilmarnock I worked with once offered to make one for me. He was known to be a rather good and enthusiastic cook, so it would have been really good, I suspect. Sadly, I left to work elsewhere, before he had time to do it! :(

Getting ready for my daughter and son-in-law visiting for a couple of days. I still can't quite get used to the idea that she's 32, is now grown up, a teacher and married. It doesn't seem long long since she gurgled, gave me a big beaming smile and threw up all over my chest.... actually, that...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Basically, Brewer's Fayre is a chain of pub/eateries all over the UK. Its not particular fancy or anything, but they do have a reasonably good menu and the prices aren't too bad. The breakfast is an "all you can eat" buffet. Lush! Back in the day, I used to really stuff myself, but not these...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

The memsahib and I went slightly bonkers this morning and went for a Brewers Fayre buffet brekky. First time for flippin' ages! I'm quite pleased I didn't go too mad on the hash browns, but as for the rest....? Ooff!! Oh and as usual, I didn't touch the black pudding. :depressed:

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

What have I eaten today? Not a lot, as I overdid things at the weekend. I've just had a protein whey shake and a small orange and a lot of water, as you need to do that with protein shakes, for the sake of your kiddleys.

Ooff, they look good. I've said before that I really don't have much of a sweet tooth, but sometimes, just sometimes, when the fluence is on me, I can do terrible damage to the right cheesecake. The memsahib bought back a couple of peanut butter-based cheesecake slices from (I think) Aldi's on...
