My husband is Yype 2. He is on 500mg metformin twice a day. He is not overweight, active for a 76 yr old, does not overeat or have a sweet tooth, no junk food. It has gone from 52 to 59 in 15 months. I know we're all different but what can he do?

My husband is Type 2 and has dried fruit on porridge, mixed fruit with cranberries and apricots. Is that very sweet? Only a dessert spoonful.His hba1c keeps rising ( now 59)but he doesnt eat a lot, no chocolate or crisps, Snacks etc. Any advice please?

Thank you! I agree. I was in Perindopril 8mg but was changed to Losartan by cardio consultant only because I had abit of a dry cough. Not for any cardio issue. Never had any uti symptoms so will definitely visit GP.

What meds do you take for bp? I know we are all different but does anyone take Losartan? I seem to be getting UTI symptoms but GP says it's good for the kidneys. Any thoughts please.

How serious is this? Screening says there is a "change". I have stable proliferative retinopathy, glaucoma and dry mac deg.
