Hmmm. Saw this meter a few days ago and liked it, so came here to see if there were any reviews etc. Not looking good then.

From first reading about this meter I could not wait for it to become available. I am extremely sad that although I can afford to buy one, I simply cannot afford to run it. Any chance the NHS will find it? Don't imagine so:(

Just got one of thee then saw the warning on Facebook, so I am going to stick to my older meter which I am very happy with, but aware it cannot be replaced after next year. Why do they stop making smaller meters that suit me?:(

Sorry for what may be a silly question, but what levels are currently recommended for Blood Glucose levels? I have always understood that they should ideally be maintained between 4mml and 7mml. However, at my last Checkup I was told I had suffered 16 hypos, because my levels had fallen below...

Many years ago now, I had an Irish Setter that taught himself to alert me when my BM got low, and he would bark until a neighbour came if I passed out. He saved my life and a record o this was written into my Medical Records. Animals are so amazing

After a minor low I am very quickly back to normal, but if I should get a more serious low, I tend to get very very cold.

I have contemplated this on and off for many years now, but have last year got a silicone ID band from the ID Band company, so dropped the idea of a tattoo. Still would not rule it out as it will never be lost or not worn.

You were almost certainly dehydrated, so much of the weight gain will be fluid, are you bloated at all? It will take time for your weight to settle. It also sounds to me as if you may not be eating enough. Eating too little apparently puts your body into 'starvation' mode where it stores all it...

Luckily for more minor hypos I am back to normal soon after taking remedial action. If I do have a bad hypo, I feel cold for hours afterwards.

Cheese - almost any sort. I am a real Cheeseaholic. I do love plenty of cold roast chicken too, but that is my second favourite.

Not sure I have seen this meter. how big - or small - is it? Looks neat and I need small meters. I must go and look it up and find out more about it.
