    Guardian 4 sensors

Hi, I use the guardian 3 sensor with a 670g, but Medtronic have just sent me some guardian 4s. Will they work with the transmitter and the 670g?

    Flu Jab 2021 side effects?

I think you could be right, but as more diabetics get the jab, it might be interesting to see if this is a thing. But it’s probably just my weird diabetes!

    Flu Jab 2021 side effects?

And me too, apart from sore arm, until now. I would not want to put people off having the jab, and my experience was probably coincidental.

    Flu Jab 2021 side effects?

Yes, interesting. In my case I wondered if the tiredness/ lethargy was the result of prolonged low BG.

    Flu Jab 2021 side effects?

As a T1D I always have flu jab every year. Usually the only side effect I have is a bit of a sore arm and perhaps a slightly raised BG. This year I had the sore arm, which faded after a day or so, however four days later my BG started to behave strangely. I began to feel very tired and...

Guardian 3 sensor spikes at night

Not sure about the enlite. The article talks about the Guardian and Dexcom. The spike is not the end of the world, just something we all ought to be aware of.

Guardian 3 sensor spikes at night

I've found the Libre 1 probably as accurate as the Guardian, but the Libre is more reliable and less hassle - you don't get 'updating issues', lasts longer and is easier to apply. As I don't use my 670G in auto mode (not good enough), there is not a great deal of difference in what the Libre 2...

Guardian 3 sensor spikes at night

Yes I could raise the alert level, although the example I posted was fairly modest, others have gone much higher. A potential problem is that when the alert wakes you up and you see your SG is high, you might be tempted to give a quick correction, only to go hypo an hour later, and then of...

Guardian 3 sensor spikes at night

I think things like Ibuprofen are ok. It's particularly Paracetamol that causes the spike. I tried it during the day and didn't get a spike, maybe because my arm was moving all the time, whereas at night the arm should be hopefully still (if you're not tossing and turning).

Guardian 3 sensor spikes at night

Ok, so now I think I have sorted it. Probably everybody else knows this except me, but it appears my spikes may be due taking paracetamol during the night for back pain. This created a rather disturbed night of, waking up with back pain, taking paracetamol, and then being woken 1/2 - 1 hour...

Guardian 3 sensor spikes at night

Yes you could be right about the PJs, I do get in a bit of a twist sometimes!

Guardian 3 sensor spikes at night

Thanks, I'll try it, and with the tape as well. What I really need to do is put on a bit more fat perhaps!

Guardian 3 sensor spikes at night

Interesting, I'm not quite so toned, but I think it might be finding a bit of muscle! But how do manage to put them on the lower back area? I guess you need a helper?

Guardian 3 sensor spikes at night

Accuracy is quite reasonable, but reliability is not so good. I've had problems with the transmitter, and the usual 'updating' issue. I'm a bit of a skinny T1D so there aren't a lot of options. I mostly use the back of the upper arm, and I am wondering if the sensor is connecting with muscle...
