I think it depends on ur drs. I was diagnosed in 1981 when I was 15 and was told and given the forms to fill out and my drs sign and send the firm off for me. I get notified every 5 yrs as a reminder to renew and have to do it all over again mine is not sent or renewed automatically
I tried the tfl site and my maps on my phone and the 10 minute walking distance from the bus stop is too far for me to walk and I'm on benefits so can't take a cab. Such a shame as I don't ever go out except to diabetic appointments so I don't see anyone or speak to anyone except my children
