Overall it makes managing diabetes easier and I wouldn't want to be without it. However as others have commented the Libre isn't as helpful when BG levels are changing rapidly which is exactly when you need accurate results in order to determine any necessary action.
Can anyone point me to guidance, other than from the DVLA, about when you should check Libre results with a finger prick test. GP seems to think it should rarely be necessary but my experience is that Libre can be very different if BG is rising or falling quickly so I prefer to test before...
I do have a CGM and know when I'm hypo and how to manage them. I assume that even well controlled Type 1s experience hypos (?) and I was trying to understand how many you would have to say "I'm having too many". For example do people feel 1 a week is "reasonable"?
I'm sorry if this has been asked before but how many Hypos do you consider too many. I don't mean severe ones as obviously one is too many. I
mean those in the range of say 3mmol/L to 3.9mmol/L. My last HbA1c was 40 and I expect this will seen as too low at my next review
Thanks
Hi,
Abbott's site says the new update for LibreLink is now available via the Play store but I can't find it. Does anyone know what version of Android is required? I'm on V8 so that might be the problem. I'd be interested to know if anyone has successfully downloaded the update. Any thoughts...
Thanks juicy, an hour is what I've always used but I read Pumping Insulin which admittedly was published in 2006 and that said at least 4 hours.
Creating a back up basal profile is a great idea.
Hi, I'm testing my pumps basal rates and need to make some changes. The question is how long before the rise / fall in BG do I apply the change. The advice I've seen varies between 1 hour to 4 hours or longer. What lead time do you use?
THANKS
I am using a Samsung S7 and xdrip+ connects to the miaomiao2 but wont load any data. Like you I have tried various versions of Xdrip without success. I'm now trying Tomato which works up to a point but is creating several records for the same reading which I assume will affect the stats it...
Hi Tilly, I have used both the Accu Chek Combo and the Insight. I'm due a new pump now and the Ypsomed My life has been mentioned. They all have pros and cons so I agree with Juicyj do some research and look for what's important for you.
