Yeah - I'm on a weekly injection of methotrexate and take diclofenac occasionally. I was also on doxycicline for a tick bite for a month recently - so that probably didn't help my general stress levels.
I think I will ride it out for a few more months, before asking for other tests. I would...
Hmmm - gosh - really would not like to have type 1 diabetes but I guess it's not up to me! I do already have rheumatoid arthritis - which is not the greatest autoimmune disease already.
A typical days input is - coffee with double cream
breakfast later - cup of tea with dash of soya milk...
Thank you for the kind words - I know it's sensible to carry on as I am and to continue with going to the gym etc and will do. Just having a little moment today of being thoroughly fed up!
Hey Wackyjacky64
My results were a bit **** at 6.0% for HBA1c - really fed up - as had been trying super hard and not cheating. Hey ho - it's a way of life now, so at least it was going in the right direction. What was yours?

I know when I get mine tested again in December - will be very keen to know the results after trying extremely hard with low carb diet for past 3 months...
What...
Thank you for your responses everyone - Monday - start of a new week -- getting used to different habits after many years of doing the same thing feels daunting, but when you read some of the posts on here (thank you for sharing ickihun) it makes me count my blessings really.
I've recently started testing blood sugar fasting levels and am trying to get these down. Used to drink up 4 or 5 cups of tea with semi-skimmed or full fat milk but will try without for a few days to see if it makes a difference. Following a low carb diet, but don't want to lose weight, as BMI...
Snack bars are very high in sugar - I'm prediabetic and tested blood sugar after a snack bar and it was 8.9mmol/l - waay too high. Coffee with double cream puts it up for me too - annoying but true. Rice - of any sort is not for me either. I'm doing all this testing as my HBa1c had gone up...
