Yes was on glic but unfortunately had a very bad reaction so was taken off it and put on just metformin at higher dose. Thanks for your reply.

Hi everyone . I'm type 2 and my diabetic nurse and doctor say they do not need to give me test strips ... I'm a carer so cant afford to buy them myself and I feel I'm ignoring my health as a result not having them... Any thoughts or ideas much appreciated. Em

thanks I was asking as I'm new to all these tests. So how do they know to then check for type 1 then? I take it there is a reason they do the gad or c peptide so what reason? just curious really.

Hi all me again Today was my first full day of meds of glic and metformin. I was happy to see 2 hrs after food I was only 7.1 this is drastically lower than the original low 20s I was getting before meds. Then in the evening I decided that now I'm on meds surely a little bit of carbsor sugar...

Hi thanks for the reply, Yes, I informed doctor today about weight loss (and thirst and frequent weeing). She was happy to wait and see what happens in 2 weeks but told to return if I feel weird, also she advised to test only if I feel odd? however, I will test much more as I'm odd all the time...
