Just had recent blood tests done and received the following letter. Many thanks for coming up for your blood tests. I am waiting for some of the more specialised endocrine blood tests but we discussed your cholesterol and I would like you to know this is still quite raised at 8.6 with a hadl...

Just curious if anyone had both and what approach they took to their diet, did they still just stick to the keto/low carb or was there anything else they did with this?.

    Salt Sensitivity/Low Potassium

Hi guys sorry for the late response, it's mainly due to money and also convenience as supermarkets deliver and cheap. But I think the culprit are the meats I get with some flavour.. spicy chicken wings etc.. as I eat a whole packet in a go it must contain a decent amount of sodium. I've also...

    Salt Sensitivity/Low Potassium

Hi, Hoping someone may be able to help me. I've always been either Salt Sensitive or Low potassium but noticed it much more since switching to low carb. low carb = increased Triglycerides what can be done naturally ?

No but I think i'm salt sensitive as they are most prominent after eating a salty meal and I've had issues with water retention for as long i know, so either salt sensitive or low potassium would be my guess.

Does anyone use Musclefoods or the likes ?

I am with you in wanting more fatty cuts, Apart from my Chicken breasts I also would prefer my red meat to have more fat on it. The yellow sticker stuff in supermarkets is great when you catch it but so hit and miss and not dependable, Plus would prefer to get everything in all at once to save...

Does anyone use Musclefoods or the likes ?

https://www.musclefood.com/pay-day-hamper Was one offer that looked pretty good but wasn't sure if I'm saving with what I'm getting compared to buying in a supermarket... butchers nearby offer similar deals but doesn't look as if you get as much as offered above.

Successful test result post carb meal or not ?

Thanks for the replies guys, that was actually the reason I asked as I had read from a few posts on here that trying to keep the spike around 2 is ideal and going from 5 to 8 was a bit larger than this. As for the taste was lovely but it was more the I didn't need to prepare/cook anything...

Successful test result post carb meal or not ?

Hi, Tonight I decided to have a cheat meal, this was routine for me pre diagnosis after a heavy weak of training. This week I had hit the gym very hard and thought I'd see how I get on after being strict for a long time. Tonight's meal was a Meat feast calzone ( meats/cheese/Kebab sauce...

Anyone had to supplement with Folic Acid with LCHF ?

Similar story with my own GP and as others told me at the time, they like to tell you that you don't need to check daily as this means they don't need to supply you with the equipment needed... instead they tell you the routine checks can tell them if the changes are working or not... from test...
