    Another Idiopathic Postprandial Misfit

@Marena I really hope you can find an endocrinologist that likes puzzles. My experience is different than yours in that I do react to carbs and fasting works for me. However, I also had been getting symptoms from eating some fats even though it didn't affect my blood sugar. That seems to have...

    Another Idiopathic Postprandial Misfit

Thanks so much! I'm still looking for patterns, now that my blood sugar is manged enough for me to think clearly. I hope you can find peace -maybe there's another endocrine problem causing your anxiety? I hope you find peace either way.

    Another Idiopathic Postprandial Misfit

Hi @Marena , I recently joined this forum. I've been wearing a CGM for my RH and I noticed that I don't only get symptoms when my blood sugar is low, I also get symptoms when it is changing rapidly - like more than 2mg/dL per minute going either up or down. Did you see any results like that?

Enterally fed, reactive hypoglycaemia, things to orally try to raise blood sugar and keep stable

I'm glad your found a diet that works for you. It sounds like it's been a real journey to get there. I'm not exactly sure when my RH symptoms started. Maybe after my first pregnancy when my thyroid stopped working or maybe during my second pregnancy - I wasn't sleeping much during those years...

Enterally fed, reactive hypoglycaemia, things to orally try to raise blood sugar and keep stable

My current theory is that it's because I had unregulated RH while pregnant and nursing. Like how mother's with unregulated gestational diabetes increases the changes of the child having insulin resistance. Hopefully she can grow out of it though as you said. It's making things hard for her now.

Enterally fed, reactive hypoglycaemia, things to orally try to raise blood sugar and keep stable

Oh! Do you have any recommendations for things that would work well in a school lunch box? Things that are ok cold. The reason I kept pushing for diagnosis instead of giving up is that I'm pretty sure my five year old has it too. And she has most of the same dietary requirements as you. The...

Enterally fed, reactive hypoglycaemia, things to orally try to raise blood sugar and keep stable

The one hour test was a routine gestational diabetes test. And interesting it only came out low the second time I took it after starting levothyroxine for my hypothyroidism. My hypothyroidism is under control, but I'm not sure how it affects my blood glucose levels. I had been thinking insulin...

Enterally fed, reactive hypoglycaemia, things to orally try to raise blood sugar and keep stable

Hello @Lamont D. I have reactive hypoglycemia and hypothyroidism. My first test showing something was off was when I had a routine 1 hour glucose tolerance test and the result was low, but I didn't get diagnosed until five years later when my endocrinologist gave me a sample CGM after I tested...

Enterally fed, reactive hypoglycaemia, things to orally try to raise blood sugar and keep stable

I was diagnosed with reactive hypoglycemia this summer and I've been wearing a continuous glucose monitor this fall to try to figure out what foods help. So far I've found that consistently eating whole fat yogurt, cheese, beans, fermented foods, nuts and seeds, vegetables - lots of fiber...
