    New job/Flying

It's good to know security will be a breeze especially in the Far East. Yeah I will be carrying spare pens, pump, insulin, blood meter and lots of consumables! No I hadn't considered asking about CGM but I will certainly ask at my next review. But I think for BA one new thing at a time!!

    New job/Flying

Thank you. The doc at BA had concerns about going through security in the Far East, happy that I can report you passed through ok. Will have to play around with switching time zones etc, I might just keep it as home as its a job not a holiday, but it'll be a lot of trial and error until I get...

    Thyroid?

Hi I had similar issues to you, but bloods came back like yours, luckily my consultant decided to put me on thyroid medication anyway. I won't say I'm perfect now but certainly feel better. Ask the question see if they'll put you on it Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

Anyone tried eating 6 small meals a day

I'm on a pump now so no real issues with the amount of injections but before the pump I would regularly have more than my 4 injections so I could eat chocolate and cake!!!!! Just keep an eye on your blood and see how you go :) Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

    Carpal tunnel surgery

I've had both my wrists done, local first time then I requested general for the second one. Just keep testing your blood and you should be ok. My blood was really high when I has my first one done, but I did have a really bad experience think that had a lot to do with it. I'm on a pump now and...

    Test strip allowance,

Hi, I've been type 1 diabetic for the last 26 years and I have never had a restriction on the amount of test strips I use. Using accu-chek mobile at the moment, testing anywhere between 4 & 10 times a day, and they're £30+ to buy over the counter!! Maybe it's like with some drugs a health...
