    What to do with empty test strip pots?

    I keep one in my diabetes case for when I am out and about to put my used needles and lancets in and then transfer to the large box when I get home. Have got sharps written on the top and sides. My nurse was very impressed!! Sent from my iPhone using DCUK Forum mobile app

    Diabetes manners

    My husband told his sister I needed an injection before lunch in Easter Sunday over the phone. She told him I would have to go in the car and do it as it would frighten the children. I was a bit upset about her attitude but went upstairs in the bathroom and did it.

    I was given a sharps bin by my doctors surgery. When it is full I need to take it back to them and will be given a new one. Our surgery are fantastic after reading replies from others.

    Will we ever get monitoring on the NHS?

    I hadn't been to the doctors for 18 months and she collared me when I went for something else. My sugars were 10.8. Started me on xenatide (Byetta pen). Saw the nurse for this. Gave me a new metre and strips and put on repeat.

    Reaction to Byetta.

    I started Byetta yesterday. Had my first injection at 12.30pm yesterday, ate at 1.30. It got to 3.45 and I started to get awful pains in my tummy.
