Reaction to Byetta.

I started Byetta yesterday. Had my first injection at 12.30pm yesterday, ate at 1.30. It got to 3.45 and I started to get awful pains in my tummy. Half an hour later I couldn't stop being sick and was actually sick about 8 or 9 times. The pains in my tummy were coming in none stop waves and it got to the point where I was nearly crying. 2 hours later the pains and sickness had stopped. Rang the gp and thought I had had a bad reaction. Going to try again today to see what happens. Anybody else been in the same situation? Many thanks. First time of posting!!

Hi and welcome to the forum.
I am bumping your post up to see if there are other members who have had difficulty when starting this medication.
Can anyone help @fowlerjacqui?

Hi I've been on byetta 8 years.you should take it in the morning.dont eat before it as it can make you very sick.you vomit lots.if you give it 2 hours you can then eat.hope this helps
