Was widowed September 2014 after 68 years. I have two steel knees but sold my car in 2015 and got a scooter to get around the village. Can't do much walking so get my exercise keeping house for myself and 67 year old son who is now retired. He was diagnosed Type one in early 1970 s. I am type 2 D. I was first diagnosed in 80 s and on Metformin and other drugs which I have forgotten about now.
All med was stopped in 2014 and I started on Insulin, Humulin 1
1. 10 units in morning at start. It has now increased to 38 units in morning and 28 before evening meal, with I think my average readings 8.5 over last 90 days. I do 3-4 tests each day, and so far no restrictions on test strips. Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones, reading of others having trouble getting strips.Interact
