Thanks Everyone
All; the best to everyone who has shared their results. Have had similar very high results myself - as high as 45 and like LH felt OK except for incredible thirt and tiredness. Now I check after every new food and have got my levels down to less than 12.
Good Luck to all

Hi Sparkles
Just found this post of yours.
When my blood sugar levels drop below 4 - I feel like hell. Confused - shaky and uncoordinated - my Doc says anything under 4 is a hypo.
Viv - I too loved wine but I am very much an addictive personality - So whether its wine - chocolate or...
Hi Viv
I was upset this morning because my BG had gone up to 20 after a day yesterday in the teens. I assumed that waking BG levels would be low and could not understand why I was so high.
Just goes to show that assume makes an ass of u & me

Hi Again Daisy :)
When you think that alcohol is mostly fermented sugar and the yeast and sugar do the fermenting - it definately is work checking out candida -
Yeast infections could account for a lot of side effects - like the urinary infections I keep reading about on this forum and the...
Hi Sparkles
Once I am a bit more up on carb counting - I'll submit a few recipes. I love cooking especially vegetarian and Indian food.
One idea that has struck me is a method of thickening without flour or cornflour. When I make an indian meal I blend a chopped onion with a couple of...
Hello Everyone
I had to go to A&E last Sunday and yes I had a long wait but there was a problem with referral. When they sorted that out - they were marvellous. Had me hooked up in minutes.
I sometimes knock it - but I thank heaven for the NHS

Hi Viv
You are right. I guess I want to hold on to some 'vice' -after stopping smoking and drinking alcohol :(
However I feel so much better without the carbs that I will persevere and hopefully lose my sweet tooth.
Thanks for your support

Hi Viv
I tried that this morning. After a short bike ride I had a couple of slices of bacon and a new laid egg cooked in the microwave - no bread :(
I think you may be the Viv who posted the modified Atkins diet? If so thanks a million I started the diet - 3 days ago and my BG has...
Hi Daisy
:D Thanks for posting so fast. On both threads! Thought I'd answer here. My BP meds also say skin problems as a possible side effect, But when I googled diabetes and itchy skin - there was a lot of stuff suggesting it could be a yeast infection - which diabetics are prone to. I...
Hello Again
Does anyone suffer from itchy skin? I get periods where I want to rip my skin off - just to stop itching. Result lots of little scabs on my arms and lower legs. Another member mentioned that they had the same problem - but were not sure if it was a medication reaction. Checked...
Thanks Daisy for that - I will certainly give it a try. If you dont mind me asking - what was the other medication you were taking. I have to take meds for my blood pressure - and I did wonder if that might be the cause.
Strage thing is the itching attacks come and go and I can't find a...
