    Abbotts Lifestyle Libre 2

Hi all, I was fortunate to get a free trial of the Lifestyle Libre 2. (I'm Type 2) I found it absolutely eye opening, it allowed me to know exactly what my blood sugar was doing and enabled me to adjust my diet to reduce it if my B/S was either rising or falling with out going to the trouble of...

Has anyone got anything positive to say about Metformin?

Morning everyone, been attempting to control my Type 2 diabetes by diet and exercise since being diagnosed a few years ago and have resisted taking Metformin. Sadly my readings of late have crept up to 10 mmol/l + most days. I feel I have little option but to start taking Metformin, but...

10.1 this morning[emoji26] worst reading for a very long time. Hardly surprising after the week we've had, car breakdown, father in law passed away. High point a 50th birthday celebration but sadly we ended up in a Pizza restaurant. Carb over load. Hopefully things can only get better...

    Raised Readings. Any thoughts.

I don't think that comment about Hypo applied to me. I am nowhere near as experience as many on this forum. I did however follow Dr Micheal Mosley's 8 Week Blood Sugar Diet, when first diagnosed in Feb 2016, Dr suggested Metformin but I refused. At the end of the 8 weeks I had lost one and a...

    Raised Readings. Any thoughts.

Thank you all who replied. Will put the Aviva away and watch for trends as suggested. Hopefully in a slightly move downward direction. One encouraging thing is that no one has said my readings are a cause of concern. :)

    Raised Readings. Any thoughts.

I had been using Aviva Accu-Chek from March 2016, when diagnosed Type 2, up until mid September 2019. Average readings as follows: Waking 6.9 mmol/L, 2hrs after Breakfast 6.4 mmol/L, 2hrs after Lunch 6.2 mmol/L, Bedtime 6.0 mmol/L. Total Average 6.4 mmol/L. I then decided to change my meter to...
