Hi there Diabetes.co.uk Forum Community.

My name is Hollie, I do not have Diabetes but my Father whom is in a very vulnerable situation has Diabetes Type 1.
He is on the other side of the world away from his family, and has access to insulin but no other medical care. He does not speak the native language of the country he is in and I am very worried about the symptoms he is expressing to me and also the deterioration of his health due to malnutrition.

Please do not judge, he is in an Indonesian Jail after being forced to commit a crime against his will with threats to kill his family if he did not comply with the demands. My father is an ordinary family man, I am so worried about his health and condition and I really need some advice.

I have been able to get glucose tests results from him daily for the past few months.
I am trying to raise funds for medical care that he needs due to the Complications that he has suffered as an effect of not having the Correct Diabetes Type 1 treatment.
UPDATE 04-02-2016**
We now have a translator that has agreed to help with Dads care, they take him a supply of fresh food each week, and also any medical supplies he may need like testing strips and cold remedies powder for his Recurring rash, a fan, cooking equipment etc...

I have also been getting to grips with self management and have researched a lot of materials that he will find useful so I can help to educate him and the family more about Diabetes Type 1.

So we have made some progress on his situation and hope to make further progress when we can finally get him to the hospital and have a check up from a Diabetes Professional.

I would really really appreciate any help at all with anything you think may help me in anyway.

Thank you
