    diabetes and asthma/colds

    HI All I have just been diagnosed with level 2 diabetes, i have been prescribed Metformin, i need to know if i can take any medication for my cold, also when getting a cold my Asthma kicks in and i need my inhaler( blue type ), i dont know what side effects or what is safe to take, any advice...
