had a diabetic review and my nurse is brilliant she has taken the Yaltormin off my prescription and put glucophage back on. Apparently the pharmacist are just cost cutting. So always ask to not be changed, after all why change something that works well for you

update, GP gave me Glucophage sr for 2 months till drugs trial finishes then go on yaltormin, I still not sure it is as effective but will be keeping a close eye on bg numbers thats for sure

Apples for me are a No No... big spike in bg numbers. so I just avoid them. But I can eat a banana and it does not spike my bg's. I think it is a test after 2 hours alot of trial and error! you will soon get to know what works for you personally.

exactly my reason for using this meter. fell off the rails regarding control but using this excellent phone app does encourage me . just a shame can't get strips on script. :-(
