Is this bread too good to be true?

Hi there. Yes, fibre is of course a carb, but because it is not digested and metabolised into sugar it doesn’t count: therefore the subtraction.

Is this bread too good to be true?

Many thanks. I’m type 2, have been since 2017 and so far I’ve been able to stay away from meds. My HbA1c is in the prediabetic range. I think I used about 2/3 of a tablespoon of peanut butter. But hey, it could’ve been a one off. I’ll test it some more particularly since you don’t see anything...

Is this bread too good to be true?

So I’m over here New Orleans for a visit with my family and to enjoy Mardi Gras (I live in the UK) — which by the way is one of the most fantastic experiences I’ve ever had. At any rate, day after my arrival, we make a trip to Whole Foods to do some shopping. I look in bread section to see if...

    Livlife Low Carb Bread Discontinued

Hi there. I got a reply from Waitrose -- as follows: Hi John, Thank you for contacting Waitrose Customer Care. I do appreciate the information you have provided me with . I had a look into this matter and I can see the product has been discontinued. The supplier is no longer supplying this...

    Livlife Low Carb Bread Discontinued

Unfortunately, that option is no longer available. It was the obvious thing to try.

As soon as I finished posting the above, I wrote to Waitrose, received an automated reply, confirming my email and assigning it a case number. I am now waiting their reply.

    Livlife Low Carb Bread Discontinued

Really gutted that it's been discontinued (for whatever reason). It's been part of my daily diet and as a type 2, the idea that I could make a sandwich and not worry about the carbs has been fantastic. Last year, there was a 2 week disruption in supply, but the difference between then and...

    CGM PROBLEMS!!!

I’ve just this week started using Dexcom One +, having used Dexcom One for the past 14 months (apart from anything else, it’s about £75 cheaper for three months bundle subscription — and I’m self funding). It’s too early to come to any definite conclusion but I will say that you can discount any...

Keto diet: what counts as keto? Can you do it l’on term?

Am a 72 year-old type, two diabetes, diagnosed about five years ago. Control is with diet and exercise. Recently, after noticing a slight increase in my blood sugar, I decided to use a CGM solution, start intermittent fasting, and go on a keto diet. Question: can one do keto diet long-term? I...

Prediabetes Can type2 diabetes be controlled by diet and exercise alone for decades together?

Also wow! The lowest I’ve gotten it (no meds) is 38. If I may ask, what kind of exercise do you do? Also, do you go for an all out keto diet?

Type 2 CGM an OTT solution for me?

is it over the top to use a CGM solution when I’m T2, diagnosed in 2017 and so far been able to stay off meds on account of exercise and diet. It’s just that I e noticed my BG levels creeping up a tad. Last week I invested in Dexcom One (three month bundle): it’s giving me a fuller picture of...

    Marathon walk

70 years old with T2, no meds and on LCHF (50-60 grams carbs per day). Training for my second marathon walk. First time round, about 5 months ago, did not give much thought to nutrition during walk, which created problems although did finish in 7:25 hours. With LCHF in mind, would appreciate...

    Type 2 Question on spike.

I guess this is a question about absolute versus relative numbers. I’m T2 and in remission via LCHF diet and exercise. The other day decided to check things: Reading before lunch = 4.9 mmol/L Reading after 1.5 hrs = 7.4 Reading after 2 hrs = 5.8 So here’s the question. In itself a peak of...

    Not bad at all

My dear wife came across these at Holland &Barrett. Not bad at all. For the first time in 3 years (since I was first diagnosed T2) I’ve had the opportunity to eat something that is or closely resembles pasta. [emoji106]
