Thank you @ianpspurs. I was surprised that fbg was so good as it is stressful at the moment as I can't bear to see Mr K in pain. My resting heart rate though has gone through the roof.

Thank you @Annb I think it will be lots of Panadol. The hospital has given him a huge bottle of morphine but he won't take it. He will need to keep moving but he needs not to overdo it. That will be the hardest part for Mr K.

Thank you @gennepher . We have contacted Spire who could do the op within 2 to 4 weeks of seeing the consultant. That looks to be a better way forward
