    Change of Metformin brand

I’ve been on Metformin slow release 1000mg 1x daily since diagnosis about 18 months ago. Initially it gave me the usual unpleasant gastric symptoms, but after a couple of months that all settled down & I seemed to tolerate it well. Also the H1abc was coming down so all good. The last...

Living with diabetes for 30 years in Tokyo

Thanks for posting this, your diabetic journey gives me ideas! I also self fund a CGM intermittently, to check what’s going on with various foods. Totally agree re standard diet advice, it’s mostly nonsense for diabetics. Following diagnosis, I spent about 9 months focusing on what works for me...

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

I never was that keen on regular potatoes, Jersey spring new potatoes being the exception! But I find celeriac makes a pretty decent ‘chip’ at a fraction of the carbs if I just have to have something potato like.

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning all, 5.8 and a headache for me this morning, has been hovering in the low 6’s most of the time depending on multiple factors, mostly unfathomable. Not been posting, exasperated at the futility of it all.

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

FBG 6.3 this morning. Still sticky, although not so bad as over the weekend when I hit a record 7.2.

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Firmly in the stickies, 6.7 FBG this morning, 6.9 yesterday. Not sure why, not being naughty with food. But doing a lot of gardening & stuff on the new house, organising workmen etc which can be stressful. Going back to work next week for a rest! Have a good Friday

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

I knew hive dwelling wouldn't last, 6.7 yesterday and 6.3 today. Stress factors include a 4 figure electricity bill (I mean, where DO they get those crazy numbers from, I only owned the property since January and its unoccupied as we are doing it up, bizarre!) and flight disruptions for a...

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

FBG 5.5 this Monday morning. Not working today and the sun is shining, chores done so off to play! Having a good run in the hive at the moment, savouring it as i know it probably won’t last. [emoji53]

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Another 5.3 FBG this morning [emoji4] That was despite fortifying myself with fish chips & peas at lunchtime to tackle the SportsDirect return, who were fine, much to my relief. My heart sank waiting in the queue whilst a guy argued with them about some trainers, which clearly had the labels...

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Hello Saturday people! This morning I was 5.3 FBG, which is very acceptable. A bit stressed today as I have to take something back to SportsDirect because it doesn’t fit and I anticipate a confrontation. They’re not exactly a retail chain with customer empathy. On the plus side, my new sofa...

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

5.8 FBG and it’s …sofa day! New one being delivered today, ah the excitement is building already. The old one has finally retired after 39 years of sundry abuse by humans, canines and felines alike. Hopefully I will never need to choose another. Have a fabulous Friday all.

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Have you tried waiting half an hour? Obvs only if you have time, but I noticed when I was doing the Libre that there is a big foot on the floor surge when I wake up/get up, which settles down once I’ve been up for a while, but still before breakfast. It’s annoying because it’s so dependent on...

FBG 5.8 this morning. Happy with that, went out for dinner last night involving a sneaky panna cotta [emoji39] Enjoy the play @missmuffet, hope your periodic feet pass muster @Estragon, good numbers @ianpspurs. The sun is shining, happy Liberation day [emoji1118][emoji1136]
