    Newly diagnosed and scared

You could try thin strips of courgette, use a potato peeler to make the slices or a sharp knife.

    Humalin M3

I suggest that she talks to her diabetic nurse. Perhaps if she explains they might give her separate long and short acting insulins.

Introduce Yourself: Answer Some Personal Questions

Hi, and welcome back to the forum. Many people here have improved their blood sugar levels by looking closely at their diet, and in particular the carbs in their diet. Maybe take a look at this thread to get an idea of what meals might help...

She looks lovely, just like my other cat. But mine wouldn’t be sitting in the box like that, she’s a very nervous cat and would run when the box is opened. Asthma can be an allergic reaction, but can also develop/run in families. My husband has asthma but doesn’t react to any specific...

What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Hi all, 7.6 today higher than normal. No idea why. @Zhnyaka I have two cats (one pictured in my avatar) and I can’t imagine having to give them an inhaler. They might let me once, but then they would run off every time they saw me coming. You are not a bad owner, you didn’t let it happen….like...

    Keto - calories too low?

Yes, 700 is not enough. Maybe think about an app to count calories and carbs? I use nutracheck.

    Keto - calories too low?

I don’t think any of us can say if you are eating too few calories unless you can give us an idea how many you eat! Are you counting the carbs you eat? If you have gone to keto levels of carbs very quickly it could be keto flu. Here is info that might help...

Metformin side effects and how to cope

I assume you take it with meals? I would talk to your nurse again and tell her the side effects are too much. Maybe you could ask about trying a lower dose, or an alternative medication. I couldn’t tolerate Metformin, and eventually had to stop taking it.

Metformin side effects and how to cope

Are you taking the standard Metformin or the slow release version?. Switching to those is worth a try. It doesn’t work for everyone but it helps some.
