    Medication

Im afraid I did the same as I was worried about my high readings and ended up feeling rather ill. I joined this site to get more information and now realise I need to lower my carb intake. Early days but my count was 6.8 this morning. I take 2x 500mg a day and stick to it.

    Metformin

I am 72 have been diagnosed with type 2 for 6 years I recently had a similar time to you now back to 1000 m/s and feeling better. I am totally confused about my medication and diet. When you have other chronic conditions it's a midfield. Glad your health has improved.
