May one ask what kind of art?
AND... How are you finding it?

At the moment it's an installation relating to my journey which shows 1). the amount of weight I'm losing daily in blocks of lard (in felt boxes - all a bit Joseph Beuys) and 2). a visual representation of the amount of sugar certain carbs turn to in your blood. The amount of fat/weight is shocking, even for me. If I knew how to attach photos I would!

Best I can do is an avatar image of the thing in progress (which will be there for a limited time) and I'm finding the whole process very cathartic!

    Type of diabetes:
    Type 2
    Treatment type:
    Diet only
I'm reasonably active and walk quite a bit
Art, reading, my dogs (and the cat's OK too)
Housework - hate housework with a passion - and rude people.
Recently diagnosed and don't know what to expect.

Currently working part time in my local pub. Also just about to start the third year of a degree course (fine art) which is possibly the best thing I have ever done in my life. I got my pension this summer - where has the time gone?

    November 2018: HbA1c 95, weight 79 kilos, blood glucose, 10
    Metformin: 2 x 500 each day
    23 March 2019: HbA1c 43, weight 65 kilos
Diet controlled - no medication :cat:
    19 June 2019: Weight 61 kilos
    27 June 2019: Weight 60 kilos (total body-mass reduction 28%), HbA1c 36.
Going to spend more time on the allotment this year - actually, no. I need to spend more time on dog friendly beaches. So do the dogs - and my daughter. Fresh air wouldn't do me any harm either.
