Good day everyone I have just started on metformin tablets for diabetes type 2 , I was wondering how.long you have to bebon the medication I was told for life ? Can I go back to my diat control only if I work hard to come off the tablets ? . Any advice would be helpful.

Over the last couple of days my glucose have been high this morning after eating a weetabix 2hrs later my blood was showing 10.5 so I don't know what is going on, I'm on a diet controled and being careful what I eat any advice please.
