Yes my work are being really good too luckily.
One point to note - I went to screening straight from work wearing dress and tights. The checks they do include ecg (wires on chest wrists and ankles) so trousers and a top might be a better option!! ;)
I had some today as it was a packet so had carbs and I could bolus. Nom nom
Thanks all for your replies ! Was feeling a bit sorry for myself, trying to get over it haha!!
Not sure if this will help but hopefully a little! I was diagnosed in August so still getting into the swing of things.
- my basal insulin always stings/hurts more than bolus - I’m on lantus
- sometimes I bleed - seems to be random and I think it’s if you happen to hit a capillary (so just...
This is a smaller trial following studies in the USA (I think!) a couple of years ago that showed promising results. 13 subjects for 6months, no placebo. Weekly injections with 3monthly blood checks for a year. As mentioned concept being that this could block the antibodies attacks against the...
Waiting to see if I’m suitable as initial diagnosis antibodies test was negative. I know they test for a wider range of antibodies in this screening and I’ll need to be positive for two to be eligible.
If i am eligible then I think I will. Given the drug is already licensed and in use for...
Assuming it’s not BG related - I have a lavender pillow spray which I like. I find stress impacts my sleep loads and am still working out how to manage it. Fail miserably at the no screens in the bedroom rule ;)
I’m t1 so not sure if it’s different but I was told some fast acting glucose (like jelly babies or glucose tabs) and follow up (if you’re not near a planned meal) with some slower release carbs like a digestive or piece of bread. Hope this helps
Just at cinema with my boys and feeling a bit hard done by. Was going to get some treats and bolus but all the bags of chicks are massive and I don’t know how to estimate portion size on popcorn.
What do others do for treats in this sort of situation when not meant to bring own food?!
Thanks!
Hey if you have ketones and Cant keep anything down I’d go to a&e. Better to be safe - and I was told this by my dsn so don’t worry about feeling like you shouldn’t! Hope you feel better soon
At then moment dvla (government driving authority) does not recognise cgm so you’d still have to finger prick before driving. And Altho libre is theoretically available from 1st November, from posts I’ve seen on here I don’t think any ccgs have approved it as yet. Hope that helps.
