I have just finished using my first Byetta pen and wondered how I dispose of it......do I just throw it in the bin ? Thanks

Thanks Dave, I was getting a bit worried that my numbers weren't coming down and adding that with the fact I haven't suffered from feeling sick ...I was wondering if Byetta wasnt working for me. I suppose 5 days isn't long enough for me to know anyway.

I start on byetta tomorrow and the nurse told me to take it half hour before breakfast. I never thought to ask but can I have a coffee (with milk) before the half hour or aren't I supposed to drink either ? Thanks

Well I just gor back from the diabetes clinic and have been prescribed Byetta. I am so pleased I stuck to my guns with the GP and asked to be referred to the hospita clinic because he had said to me, you may as well go straight onto insulin as you will be prescribed that eventually anyway. I...

Just been for the appointment and it wasn't half as bad as I thought. Urine sample was fine, that was a worry so thank goodness. The doctor was really good and like unbeliever said it was good to talk to someone who really knew what they were talking about and was extremely informative...

Thankyou so much everyone, you have eased my mind no end. I see and endo this Thursday and then diabetic nurse next Tuesday. I just hope I dont have to go in hospital as my bg numbers are around 15 at the minute.
