    why bother

Dear Mr Angry I am now 55, probably a similar age to you, however, I was diagnosed with Type 1 when I was 21. Like EllieLou, I have multiple injections and blood tests each day. This is by no means intended to criticize you and your unwillingness to take your medication, however you need to...

    Sainsburys. poor cafe

I have had a similar situation in Sainsburys cafe, ordered a bowl of soup and brown roll, paid for it, sat down with my mother who had ordered cheese tart and salad. Hers came within a couple of minutes, so I assumed mine would come soon too. After a while, I went to the counter to ask about...

I have been a Type 1 for 34 years, diagnosed at 21 years of age. I had my daughter when I was 27, and I can't remember all the details now, but I do know that I spent most of the pregnancy in fear! I was carefully monitored by the hospital, and tested my blood very regularly, and had a very...

    new member

Hello, I am new here too, have been a Type 1 for 34 years now, diagnosed when I was 21 years old. I have always been on insulin, and had good control until last year: I had a chest infection which led to admission to A&E with ketoacidosis. Haven't been right ever since, weight going up...
