The reality is that whatever type of diabetes you have (or any other chronic condition) then your health care professionals (HCPs) don't manage it, you manage it yourself with advice from HCPs.

You appear to be using a very old version of the Librelink app. Might be worth updating it to the newer version that will give you readings every minute on yuor phone without scanning.
I rarely use a cover, but this stuff works well for me, I cut a 3-4 inch wide strip and put if over the sensor. 10 metres lasts a LONG time!

I generally only put on a cover if the sensor starts to come loose. I have used Tegaderm and it works well.

The purple colour comes, I believe, from interaction of the Psyllium husk powder with aluminum in the baking powder. Dr Oteker Baking powder is much better in this regard.
I had poor control for a long time and have had laser all around both eyes in 2014. Eyes remained mostly stable since then. I have vastly improved my control in the last 6 months and last check in March said eyes VERY stable.
The surgery was NOT a fun experience.

November 2019 HbA1c of 74. I started self-funding Libre (T2 IDDM) in early December. From looking at the graphs, by early January I was on LCHF diet. my Feb HbA1c was 49 and I am hoping for 46 or better next time. So far lost about 8Kg and hoping to be below 110Kg in about 6 weeks...
