Sorry! I get my lift plus on prescription cause I use it remove my omnipod pumps too! It is unbelievable stuff, also baby oil after can reduce irritation and help preserve sites! (Bieng a bloke I maybe shouldn't admit to using baby oil)[emoji106][emoji106]
Same tegaderm is good, also get some lift plus spray then when removing the tegaderm just peel up a corner and squirt lift plus down, releases the adhesive and makes it painless!
Still have to have individual cases passed by your gp for funding even after they become a prescription item! Awareness I think will be the reason for them running out of stock. I'll be ordering myself tomorrow!
What about the omnipod? It is a wireless pump! Not as accurate as the 640g or as 670g will be but far more accurate than mdi! I'm going on the 640g but I have looked into the omnipod too! It has a hand set the size of a mobile phone and the reservoir is in the pump which attaches to ur delivery...
Thanks for these replies very helpful. I am starting the pump just because of overnight control and maybe dawn phenomena during the day my control is fine.
Hi ppl. Any users of the 640g by Medtronic on here? I am going on one and would love to hear some experiences from ppl using this specific pump. Initially I will be using only the pump and not the sensors. Tia
MumoActive is brilliant! Records everything, blood glucose, carb intake and insulin doses. Gives graphs and average bg readings. Also will give a daily accumulation to help work out sick day doses
Sometimes our blood sugar can keep coming down after excessive! I would certainally say if you've stayed at 5.3 then the 10 units has been good! I play golf a lot and aim for my bs to be 7 after I've completed a round then by the time I get home it will be below 6 without any additional bolus...
Hi ppl,
Just wanted to put it out there, I started using an app called mumoActive yesterday. Just want to say I think it's brilliant, record all insulin doses and carb intake and it tells you what ratio your having. Also gives running graphs and average blood sugar readings. Plus you...
Hi Bluemarine Josephine, it is also my diaversarry this month, my first 1! 19th December 2015 I was diagnosed only just finding my happy place too! Any suggestions as to what I should do?
If you cook and like cooking, experiment with different flavours and meats some of the spices you buy actually help with bs management! All meat is free of carbs but consider proteins and fats which can make carb digestion slower, that will probs help ur bs management! I am type 1 but we all...
I personally found that program interesting but at the same time I am no expert with type 2. I thought it was aimed more at the nhs cost and proved that they are looking for cop out ways to save money rather than graft to change people's lives. I am type 1 and only for 10 months so far, seeing...
We may not be born with the condition, however the way type 1 is we are born and if it is going to happen then it will and we are powerless until diagnosis! Can't see them making a program about type 1 I think they would get that really wrong.
I normally find I feel better if I wake and treat a hypo than if I get a dump and wake with high bs! That been said more than 1 hypo in the same day and after the second I am grumpy and short tempered for the rest of the day. Feel like I've made the same mistake twice and that annoys the hell...
