Worth worrying about 1 hour post meal levels?

Hi everyone, What are your thoughts on levels 1 hour after eating compared to 2? For example this evening I had 50g of whole meal pasta with some meatballs. 1 hour after my reading was 7.1 2 hours after my reading was 6.2 Is the 7.1 anything to worry about or not? Furthermore is the 6.2...

    Almond Flour Blueberry Muffins

Got a batch of these in the oven as we speak! Quick question, is there any reason I can't keep using the Waitrose ground almonds compared to the others linked below? Difference in carbs per 100g Waitrose (finely ground in a machine) - 7.3g Almond flour - 20g

    Low reading after dinner?

Didn't have a pizza in the end as I didn't feel like having one which is good :D For lunch 2 hours ago I had a white baguette with chicken tikka, a few crisps on the side and salad. Reading just now was 7.7 and I think my meter reads a tad high.

Had a few more tests done after dinner, all below the 5 mark. I might be going out for a pizza tonight so I will make sure to test after that, is it frowned upon to do this sort of "research" to see how high my sugar goes in a way? It may sound silly but I am just curious as to what this will...

    Low reading after dinner?

Got my own testing kit through today so I will see what other foods do to my levels. Could my diabetes only effect me if I am overweight, I know the old argument of once a diabetic always a diabetic but my readings are a little mysterious...

    Low reading after dinner?

Hi everyone, Bit of background, I was told I was Type 2 this time last year, was massively overweight and in bad health. Since then I've lost a load of weight, come off metformin for 3 months and feel great. I've always been told not to worry about taking my levels by my GP as I have been...

Hi everyone, first post for me here. Bit of background info, I was diagnosed with Type 2 in September 2011. I have been on Metformin since then and am currently on 2 tablets in the morning and 1 in the evening. Since September I've lost a massive amount of weight and ate sensibly and told my...
