Well sticking to 800 is proving difficult im prob averaging more 9/950, I am into week 3 and prob only intend to keep at it for another 5 max, but am enjoying the training since gyms have re-opened just want to make sure i am taking in the right nutrients to keep it up and keep sugar levels...
Looking for recommendations for pre & post work out food. Am trying to keep carbs to approx 60g per day & same for protein - trying to stick to main principles of blood sugar diet & approx 800 cal per day.

Thanks @MrsA2, I have to admit am abit apprehensive about the porridge /oats breakfasts and root veg in some of the recipes but will see how the bs react to them as I go and rule out anything that causes any spikes...

I'm psyching myself up to be honest but feel like a short sharp shock won't do any harm and if my blood sugar levels benefit then I will be happy, extra weight loss will an added bonus!!!

Hi, so have diagnosed just over a month ago and trying low carb diet & started monitoringy blood sugar levels, so on waking this morning they were 7.3mmol, had breakfast of 2 slices of nimble wholemeal which is about 16g carb & 1g sugar with black coffee tested again after 2 hours and am at...
Have been advised to test my blood sugar levels, not sure if i can get monitors etc prescribed but going to push my gp and see what happens...
However can anyone recommend most efficient and cost effective meters if I need to fund myself, based in Northern Ireland
