Hi Akaust,
It's quite clear that you are having a roller coaster of blood sugars probably because you are eating large amounts of carbohydrates. As a long standing type 1 diabetic myself these high blood sugars really not need to happen nor do the long term complications. It be wise of you to...
Dr Bernstein says that long exposure to high blood and then normalising blood sugars can bring on the symptoms of hypoglycaemia.
If a diabetic typically had blood sugars around 10 and if you'd immediately brought their blood sugars to normal he'd or she would feel hypoglycaemia symptoms...
Hi,
4.8 is not considered to be a low blood sugar for an adult. Non diabetic adults typically run around 4.6
You have a normal blood sugar post exercise.

I think it's best you sacrifice some sleep until you become stable. It be wise to keep your blood sugars higher than normal for tonight and check your bloods whilst your sleep.
Hi Saeeda, I strongly disagree with the above advice to inject into thighs. If you feel your thighs you will find little body fat and only a thin layer of skin with muscle below. You will likely inject into your muscle. The problem with injecting insulin into muscle is that it will work a lot...
Hi Saeeda, please read Dr Bernstein Diabetes Solution available on Amazon UK.
Here's some basic information about insulin. Insulin with the help of fat cells converts glucose in your blood stream to body fat.
Insulin in other words builds body fat. You are suffering from a case of...
Hi Liz H, unlike yourself I was scared of trying something new. I was on Lantus for many years but a month ago switched to Tresiba. It's a lovely insulin. I use to suffer overnight hypo and whenever I did it was quite severe. On Tresiba I have only had one hypo episode overnight. I now awake...
