Well ive had a repeat test and it again showed im prediabetic my GP said ive got to completly change my diet and loose weight

He has given me cream and wants to do a repeat blood test because he said i could have type 2 he just said to use something gentle to wash myself so it wont irritate the skin

Blood was taken in the morning and i had fasted.

I was diagnosed with prediabetes 10 days ago i see my GP tomorrow because the symptoms are driving me nuts im thirsty very tired most of the time need the bathroom and ive got a horrible itch on my private area...the results of the blood glucose was 47 where the diabetic level is 48 so im one...

Im taking olanzapine 15mg and Abilify 10mg

Ive been diagnosed with prediabetes..should i get a glucose testing meter?

I have mental and physical health problems and i take a number of medicines two being antiphychotics i read on the american diabetes site that these drugs can cause diabetes.

Thanks Julie56 yes it was a shock but when i told my GP i was feeling very tired thirsty itchyness ect he wanted me to have a blood glucose and i got the results last tuesday
