I’ve done the same during the Libre 2 issues last week. I really like Shuggah and seeing blood sugar on Apple Watch is great. My only uncertainty is whether my DSN will be happy as she likes to see my blood sugars when we speak on the phone and my Libre 2s are on prescription. Might they refuse...
Thanks. I think it wise to avoid deleting App at the moment and then trying to re upload it because it has currently been deleted from the UK Apple App Store. A true **** up by someone at either Abbott or Apple
I am interested to know what a good resting heart rate (RHR) is for a Type 1 Diabetic. I’ve been Type 1 for 39 years and have a RHR of 64. Is this good, bad or in between?
Managing Type 1 diabetes and exercise is not simple but it is perfectly possible to deal with. I’ve had frustrating times but managed to get round them.
I do a lot of road cycling and tend to ride 3 days a week covering a total distance of around 100 miles pw. I rarely have hypos or hypers...
The Libre is a life changer for me. My Hba1c has improved and I have far fewer hypos. The accuracy depends on how well the sensor is attached and if it is inserted into a non fatty area the sensor can bend (have a look when you remove the sensor after 2 weeks).
So the Libre is great but make...
Remember that HbA1c is an average over approx 3 months. It could be the result is great at 42 (6%) but might be an average of lots of v highs and lots of hypos (not good). The aim is to have as flat a daily blood sugar as possible within your diabetic team's target range.
I am a type 1 diabetic using an insulin pump. I'm cycling 450km over 6 days in Sardinia from 9th to 14th July which includes a few big climbs! If I can help I would be more than happy to be a guinnea pig.

I don't know the answer either. I use an insulin pump and if I have a snack a while after a meal it will take the insulin I gave into account when suggesting a dose to have with the snack. This is to apparently to avoid stacking but I don't understand the logic.
