new here but diagnosed 5 years ago

I echo this advice. I was diagnosed Type 2 16 years ago & have never been on medication. My HbA1c has never been above 41 - normally in the 30s. This has been achieved by following the no carb., 800 cal. per day diet, & exercise regime. If you get medical approval, try it ; it really works !

Heart rate and low carb diet

Yes, sorry. You are correct that the diet is not intended to last 6 years ! I did it for 8 weeks, which is what Michael suggested in order to “reverse my diabetes”. It worked like a charm ! Michael didn’t specify what you should do, precisely, after the 8 weeks was up. So, we “adapted” it...

Type 2- dawn phenomenon and A1C

I reckon that you have nothing to worry about. Your figures are pretty much in alignment with mine & my doctor reckons that I am in remission. Just to clarify; before breakfast I am usually in the range 6.0 to 7.4. During the day I am in the 5s. After meals I am between 5.0 & 6.5. My latest...

    Low carbs - remission?

I have been following Michael Mosely’s NoCarb/800 cal. diet for the past 3 years. I don’t know whether I am in remission or have reversed my diabetes. But, all my readings are well below diabetic levels (HbA1c 35). After the first 8 weeks strictly following the diet - & losing 20 pounds - we...

    Great HbA1c, Very Disappointed!

I haven’t read all the replies to your post, but I guess that they must pretty much agree with me (or I with them) that you have been extremely successful. Don’t worry about it & keep on doing what you have been doing. Well done !

anyone reversed their type two diabetes to below the normal range in remission or reversed can it be

You certainly CAN reverse your diabetes; & many people have done it. I have not had official confirmation myself, but all my readings are in the normal range - & have been for the last 18 months. I have no diabetes symptoms at all. I owe this to being on Dr. Michael Mosely's 800 calorie/no carb...
